i went with tein basics and adjusted them almost all the way to the bottom. i was surprised that the car rode a lot smoother with the basics than the s techs with z shocks.

 

H techs are 1.4F and .7R. If you do the spring mount mod on the rear you'll be alright.

1.3F and 1R Looks off though. My H-techs weren't low enough, so I am doing the spring mount mod in the rear and putting coupe s-techs up front. Just to hold me over until next next summer when I get coils.

 

So if I was to buy a set of coils, could I still get the same drop without having to buy a camber kit?

 

You don't have to buy a camber kit with any drop unless you want to adjust your camber.

 

With coils the best part is they are adjustable!

You can drop your car a .1 or 2.5 it doesn't matter. (depends on coils though)

 

Well I do want to even up the tread wear because right now I am burning up the fronts really fast. So if I cant fix the treas wear any other way then I guess I have no choice, cause tires are expensive

 

yeah same reason i bought spc camber kits all around, i was hoping to put the camber closer to spec, but i'm still running negative camber cuz the 245-45's on my coupe 18s rub really bad when i turn and i don't want to raise the car back up at all.

 

Ok, general question, is there anyone who is running tein s techs springs on a sedan that does not have a camber kit nor does the inner part of the tire wear an extreme amount more than the outside?

I have Coupe S-techs no camber kit. I have a little bit of camber. Yet to see tire wear. 8 months later. I am pretty low ill tell you that. Dealership told me within 6 months my tires will be bald if i dont get a camber kit. 8 months later i still dont really see any tire wear.

 

GmanCanada is also on S-techs and he sold his camber kit because he didn't feel the need to install it. He's on 20s if it makes a difference to you.

 

i'm debating wether i should get a camber kit or not, i got s techs sitting in the garage. Definitely getting shocks and struts, maybe just a rear camber kit, better safe than sorry

 

If you already have stechs I would get dspecs and call it a day. You'll have the height you want + great comfy adjustable shocks as well

 

I have S-Techs on 06 sedan and I am running camber kit for the front and rear on my sedan. I have my sedan aligned within coupe specifications. I had to run front cambers with 350z OEM springs and rear was fine. I guess I wasn't one of the lucky ones.

 

I was wondering if I was to ask the alignment shop to align my car to coupe spec, even though its a sedan, do you guys think that will fix my camber issue a little bit?

I have coupe 18's with 225/40/18 in the front and 225/45/18 in the rear.

 

just installed my STech and I am definitely going to get a rear camber kit. Front kit is tbd based on how the tires will wear. Visually, camber is very minimal.
