Noise when driving/drifting to the right when stopping
Hey everyone, I hope someone could help me reach a conclusion with the problem I’m having. I've been so frustrated that I just want to sell my car. Here’s the problem. Everyday when I get into the car, I begin to drive and there is a lot of road noise. When I get on the highway, it’s amazingly loud. I got used to the fact that it’s loud but my passengers always ask, what’s wrong with my car? I honestly have no more ideas on what it could be. I balanced my tires, got an alignment, put on new tires and still same noise. The weird thing is when I’m on the highway, if I turn the steering wheel slightly to the left, it makes more noise and if I go to the right and is a little more tolerable. I had a problem a while ago where one of my lug nut studs got cross threaded and I haven’t replaced it. I’m currently running of 4 lug nuts on the left side of my car. Now another problem is when I’m coming to a complete stop at a traffic light, the steering wheel wants to go to the right and I have to hold it tight so that it doesn’t. Anyone know what kind of problems I’m having???
I recently replaced my rotors but the problem has been happening prior to me changing brakes/rotors. The car also squeaks when driving next to a median, but when i brake it goes away?
wheel bearings...jack up the car, rotate the wheel and see if you hear any noises. Also, try wiggling the wheel and see if you feel any play or looseness(this will explain the pull/drift while driving and noise when turning). Having only 4 lugs wouldn't really cause such an issue other than a slight vibration at high speeds due to a slight misbalanced from a missing lug.

UPDATE: Ok so I lifted up the car and got everything checked out. Wheel bearings are completely fine. Fixed the lug nut on the left side....tightened the suspension….Took it for a test drive, car feels much better and tighter but the noise is still there! I'm thinking it’s my tires...theres nothing else that it could be. I will update you all on Sunday when I get a chance to change them out with my winter wheels.

I actually have a similar problem. My alignment is near perfect, but it pulls to the right. I haven't noticed any noises, however. I had a free brake inspection, and they told me that my rear brake pads are wearing unevenly. And of course, it's my right pads that are more worn.
I suspect that maybe it's a stuck caliper or something that may be causing it to drag on the rotor. I just haven't gotten around to taking it in. It's very minor.

If your car tries to turn right when you are braking, it most likely means your right brakes are grabbing harder than your left brakes. Sounds like the pads are rubbing on the rotor. Your brake lines might have gotten messed up somehow or maybe the caliper is going bad. Might also explain the noise when turning but I'm not sure. It would certainly explain why the noise is louder when you go faster.
I just got the OEM 18s put on my car. Since then it has been making a loud screeching sound. Sometimes when I take it out for a spin I wont hear it, but others it will not go away. It usually starts up when I turn or go at low speeds. When I break it goes away, I got my friend to find out where the sound is coming from and he said it was my front right tire.
The screeching is the wear indicator on your brakes. It will often stop when you apply the brakes, but if you hear it all the time, it's time for new brakes. I'm surprised they didn't tell you that when you had the brakes checked out.
