I would get a set of high quality pads, Hawks seem to be a popular option for Infiniti owners. I would then go for a high quality set of solid rotors for street use. If you are tracking a car then you may want to do some more homework about drilled and/or slotted rotors as there are lots of opinions on their benefits (and negatives) for different uses. The original benefits of drilled for example is more in the area of controlling the gas boundary present on older disc brakes (hence the name degassing holes). With modern pads this issue has largely gone away.

Next I would get some high quality stainless brake lines. Keep in mind that much of what you see out there is basically for looks. A normal brake line inside of a braided shell is often what you will find and this can actually work against you (failures). As important as the line itself is, the connections of the lines are equally important, so do your research carefully on this.

Now you need to put fluid in the system. What you want is a high quality fluid with a very high temperature rating.

Now follow the recommendations for breaking in your brake system, which may actually start before installation in some cases (ie heating of brake pads in an oven at a controlled temperature).

I would say thats true about mose things but brakes are the only thing stopping your car and a 3000lb car at 70mph is nothing to mess with

I have never tried ebay brakes but to me its woth the extra money to feel safe

I went with Centric rotors (who also make Stoptech's) and Stoptech pads and have been very happy with them.

Rotors are just a hunk of metal. I wouldn't waste too much money on rotors. As for the pads, I'd be more willing to look deeper into those. My opinion.
Ofcourse I'm only speaking for the regular rotors. If you're talking about the drilled/slotted rotors, then that's a whole other subject.

how are the oem pads and oem rotors?
I think I could get all the oem rotors and oem pads for less than 300$ at infinitipartsusa.com. Is that a good price?

Yep just a hunk of tin whose heat retention characteristics may be the difference between stopping and running over a cliff.

You're right! That is if your car participates in the 24hr of Le Mans.

I'm correct regardless of where your car is driven. If you are running the Le Mans your car has other things helping with the equation such as sequential shift transmission, race tires, and most of all other drivers who understand that brake rotors are not just a chunk of metal.
