If you get the DSP9s that come with Springs.. thats cost as much as a set of used coilovers.
Z spings will drop a G coupe 1/2" lower than advertised on a Z. So if you want to go low on springs, look into 350Z aftermarket springs. If I could do it over again, I would save and just get a used set of coils... guys on here and my350z are always changing their set ups so check out the marketplace.

Damn guys, he just axed a ques...
One post and he needs a flame suit?
There is lots o' info on this place with what you need.
A three inch drop is a lot to do, if you want to do it right. With this car anything lower than 1" will give you trouble. You need to install camber kits front and back and get it aligned as best you can. You will most likely still have odd tire wear. If you have been riding a Civ (yes I have a 08' Si sedan) you already know about tire wear and problems with lowering.
If you want to lower a bit until you get the bux for a slam, just get a set of springs from a 350Z. It will give you a 1" drop in front and a little less in back. You will need to get an alignment after they settle, but it you won't need to do the camber kit stuff.
Congrats on your new G and welcome to the forum.
