thats my argument for why the cup kit is pointless. i can go into much more detail if you want.
Some people like to stunt hard parked and while driving. With bags, you stunt at 0 psi parked but the bag needs a certain psi to drive so to not blow or damage the shock. Of course, however psi you drive depends on your road conditions and your preferred comfort. In most cases, at those drivable psi ranges, the car is higher that most people on regular coilovers. Cups allow people to keep their car low (or drive lower knowing that they have lift) without worrying about losing shock travel and only lift the car to avoid obstacles on the road. With cups, you are not suppose to drive it with the system inflated since it will compress the spring and cause the spring to act like a much higher spring rate, thus, creating an uncomfortable ride.

I think bags are great for those who like to park on the ground and don't care as much how they look while driving. A problem with bags is issues with rubbing on wheels. With bags on coilovers, you can technically adjust your driving ride height making setting the coilovers. This would cause the car to lay on the frame. But for some people with body kits, the bumpers might be slightly lower than the frame, therefore making the adjustable ride height limited. In this case, I think cups will be preferred.

I love my Phantom Cup Kit by Platinum VIP on my 3rd Gen GS430. I set my drive height with no air in the cups and when I see crazy pot holes, speeds bumps, and road works, I am able to air cup and drive at stock height.
