Removing caliper bracket

While trying to replace my front rotors, I needed to remove the caliper brackets. Compressor set for 150psi. bolts won't budge! Compressor won't go any higher. How can I get the bolts out? Don't want to apply heat from a torch. any ideas? Thanks

I used a 22mm open ended wrench and a hammer. Soak it overnight in PB blaster as well.

+1 on a bigger impact gun. Trying to get one of those off with a breaker bar is how I hurt my back a year ago. Let the right tool do the work.

IDK if the bolts on those thread in from the front or the back, but if they are from the back, then beware of turning them the wrong way!!
(Don't laugh...it happens )

That's what cheater bars are for. I'm not sure if a bigger gun will work when you are limited on the air supply(compressor)?

What's the ID on your hose? I replaced the standard 1/4" with a 3/8" and it's like breathing life into the gun.

Other small tricks to get more power out of your impact gun:
You are using impact sockets right?
Any extensions are designed for impact guns?
Every extension loses torque, so use as few as possible
Make sure the socket is straight on the bolt, any deflection will lose torque
And finally, to remove a bolt in the counter-clockwise direction, twist the socket as far clockwise as you can before pulling the trigger.

i've been playing with cars for over 40 yrs. My air wrench is a 1/2 in drive gun type. No extensions used. Compressor set at 150psi, still can't get the top bolt of the bracket to move. I might have to heat the bracket area around the bolt with a torch, but I'm concerned that might weaken the bracket. no room to swing a hammer. this is the driver's side so the wrench/ socket has to go up.

Strange you are having problems with this bolt. You could raise the car a little higher to hit the breaker bar from underneath. I think that's how I did it.
