Destroyed my compression rod?

I know the bushing is gone, but can the rod be salvaged? The other bushing looks fine, just around the bushing it looks slightly more oval then other pictures of them. Has anyone has success with pressing the bushings in? I would rather spend 20$ then 200$ and i have a friend with a press.

Temple City Auto has a press... didnt take long... the only snafu is lining up the center of the bushing since the arm/rod is an odd angle... trying to keep it centered between two aluminum blocks and keeping leverage was a challenge... I didnt do it, John did...

but its a lot cheaper than buying entire rod.

The two that I have are used, but perfect condition - low miles... $10 each if you want them... I'm going to Church Automotive in the morning and can meet you on my way if you want.

I have same problem (05 G35 Coupe) please anyone. I want to know how you replaced the compression rod. I will be changing them soon.
Do I need to remove the cross arm underneath the compression rod (where the rod is mounted), how do I take it out.

Pictures will be very helpful.

Thank You
