Thumbs up Best Coilovers around $1000, maybe cheaper?

I tried searching for this exact topic and I must be retarded, well anyway, Im done with my eibach springs so Im looking in to coilovers. Id like about the same size drop but know nothing about coils. In my past cars ive only ever bought springs.

So, what would you recommend? Ive always heard the name Tein before when referring to coilovers and the only ones in my budget are the Basics.

Just looking for input, thanks alot!

Honda Accord
Megan? Tanabe? K-Sport? Tein?

Do a search here. I think there are quite a few threads covering the exact topic here. Also, IMO, you really shouldn't expect "quality" from any coilover that cheap. The examples I listed above are roughly about the same in quality. They're good for drops, but you won't like how they perform.

Ehh, I had Tanabe S-OCs on my G before, and had absolutley no problems. I never tracked the car, but for day to day, they were a perfect balance between performance and comfort. I have also had Tanabe's on 2 other previous vehicles....no problems at all!!!

If you're looking to just lower your car, pick up a set of Tein Basic coilovers. those are in your price range for a brand new set.

Your search should start and finish with BC Racing coilovers. A vendor on here is doing an unbelievable deal on them right now. The stock spring rates are 10/8, but if you're looking for a bit more performance I'd recommend 12/10. BC Racing will offer different spring options at no charge. You'll be hard pressed to find a negative review of these.
