Brake Noise
I know there have been several posts regarding brake noise, but it seems that everybody's situation is different and I figured the best way to get the most accurate answer was to post my own thread.
I have a 2003 5AT coupe, and I'm not the most car savvy person. About a week ago I replaced the front rotors and put on new pads for all four, everything OEM and brand new.
I had brake noise coming from the front before the new parts, and it's still there. A little better, but still insanely annoying. It doesn't seem to happen when I brake hard or brake soft, but somewhere in the middle.
With completely new pads and rotors how could I still be having such painful noise coming from the front?

try bedding them in. simply explained, find a safe place with no traffic and do few hard near-stops.

was all proper hardware installed as well(pad shims?)

I have not tried any kind of brake quiet, so I'll pick some up and try that.
All the proper hardware was installed and whatnot, but I didn't replace the shims behind the pads. Should those be replaced as well? I ordered new OEM pads but they didn't come with new shims.
I'll try bedding them in and let you guys know. Thanks!

I tried Gunk Squeal Medic, but the noise came back the next day. I just sprayed the solution on the disks, gave it a few minutes then drove around. The dealership told me that they can't really do anything about it and I don't need the pads changed yet.
The squeal gets really loud and is annoying. It seems as if there is a softspot where before the brake is fully pushed in when the noise/squealing starts.
Thanks.

Which brand did you use? Did you have to take the wheels off?

I still have some squeal in the brakes, so it wasn't a complete fix. I'm still looking for a solution to make them silent. It helped the noise A LOT, but it's still there on a very slight level of braking.
