The car has just over 60k on it so they may need to be replaced anyway

How does it feel to you? Does it feel like the shocks are not keeping up with the new springs? If it feels okay then I would stick with what you have, until they are gone. Then look at upgrading to better shocks. From what I have read and prices I have seen I would probably go with coilovers before trying to mate a spring and shock from different manufacturers; or go with z or coupe springs and shocks made for the z or coupe. The way I look at it, you pay $220 for springs and $550 for Tokico D- spec or $850 for Koni you are close to or in the low priced ($1000) coilover territory. At least with coilovers you know the shock was made for the spring it is on.

^^ Well it feels a little off.. It feels like the two don't belong together obviously..Thats a good point about mating springs and shocks from diff manufacturers.. I picked up the springs used so I don't feel too bad about the cost.. So maybe I should just wait it out and go the coilover route. My only concern with coilovers is going too low. I don't want to to run camber kits.. Thats just too much $$ for my DD

The problem with coilovers is that you typically end up with pretty high spring rates unless you really do your homework. IMHO

I have been told that BC coilovers can come pretty close to stock height. I don't have them myself so I cannot confirm it. I would assume Megan Racing would also, since they are from the same manufacturer. PM people on the forum and see if they were able to get pretty close to stock height, or whatever drop you are looking for, with their setup.

I agree; I drive 110 miles a day so I stuck with z springs and hp's.

Tociko Blues work great. I matched them with my RSR's & the ride is way better than stock. Don't over think it, like you said its a DD. With the pro-kits its a fairly reasonable price to spend. If you go lower then shell out for some coilovers or adjustable shocks...
