just got my alignment done with coilovers

I think more can be done... but least it tracks forward now.

G35x with rear SPC toe and camber kit. BC racing coils. I drove in knowing the rear left toe was completely messed up you can see it. SLIP and VDC light on and scared to go over 25mph.

Car now least tracks forward. Barely made it on the lift. lights are all off. He told me this was the best he could do given its a sunday and they were closing. I picked up the lifetime alignment and they have me $35 off.

I would feel a lot better if the toe was even, I know it could be. I'm going back in a couple of days. What do you guys think...

You guys also think i should get a front camber/caster kit?

With the toe bolts the left rear toe should be a lot better than that.

i feel the same way. but he stated it was the best he can do...

now him adjusting it from 3.25 to 1.08 is a lot, bring it within spec should of been cake from then on but he didn't and told me it was the best he can do.

the front is DECENT without a kit. the left toe is what i'm not happy with.

he also gave me a print out from the machine stating there are no front camber/caster adjustments from the manufacturer.

3.25 deg?! that's a lot! Tire must of been dragging pretty bad. 1.08 deg is still pretty bad. You should figure something out before too long or your tire is going to be toast. If you go a bit more negative on the camber, it'll help bring the toe back in. I'm curious why your specs from side to side are so off? How much are you lowered?

car didn't look crazy when i removed the toe bolts but it did when i installed the new ones..

I'm only lowered 1.5inches at the most. About with a coupe spring would get me. Not trying to go super low this year. Trying to save tires.

I'm trying to make the slot wider now and hopefully that will cut me the extra slack.

I just installed a set of bc coils on my 04x, was going to wait a little while to let it settle before alignment, I wasn't looking to lower the car just needed to replace worn out suspension. After installment car dropped 1". Don't really know how much further i can raise it safely. My question is did your slip and vdc lights come on right away or is this something to look forward to.

I have alway's found it really helpfull if I print out the alignment spec sheets from the factory service manuel for the 350Z. I highlight and pen in how the car has to be set and let them know to show me the after specs BEFORE they take any of the adjustment equipment off the car. That way they don't hand me a car that isn't done to my satisfaction.

I use the 350Z specs because I prefer it's camber ranges plus the nominal and max specs for rear toe are absurd in the rear for the G35. And I don't want the tech getting confused.

Turtle, I thought I would bump this thread rather than create my own...

Got my alignment specs attached.. looking for advice from other X owners who don't have front arms ( I do have rear SPC).. How bad and quick did the front tires wear?

Shop said this was the best they could do on the front w no adjustment options.. I opted for the unlimited alignment deal as well- Thoughts?!

^ looks like they didn't even touch the camber. They fixed the toe, which is good, that'll help with overall tire life. Better than nothing. I think once a shop sees that you're/we're on aftermarket suspension, they use the "best we can do" excuse so they don't have to do anything with the camber. But who knows... In your case, -2 camber is not bad at all. How long tires last will very from driver to driver. Road conditions, temperature, driving style all factor into the life of a tire. It's really hard to say how long tires will last with a certain setup. Your inner tire will wear faster. If you're lowered, almost no way to avoid that. Since you're an X, you can consider flipping and rotating your tires every so often to prolong their life. Flipping can get expensive, $25-35 per wheel/tire, usually. Well, I hope that helps, good luck!

^^ thanks for the input money042.

They explained there are no adjustments for front camber? Becuase there are no real adjustment options on factory arms (understood).. Pretty sure I am going to pick up some Kinetix front A arms... (eventually) no rush.

I actually rarely drive, maybe 4,000 miles a year tops so the front wear may not be too huge for me..

Did they tell you the modified it for lowered cars or what does that "modified" mean.

How happy where they to do things for you? I'm looking for another firestone, someone a little more lowered car friendly and can do settings that I WANT.
