Brake pad recommendations - dd and track sets
Brake pad recommendations - dd and track sets
I have a 05 coupe w/o Brembos, double piston calipers.
I daily drive the car, however occasionally participate in solo/autox, track days and performance driving events. I don't have the means to upgrade the brakes at this time so I'd like to hear recommendations on pads.
For some reason I had a hell'uva time finding the proper pads when I picked up a couple sets of hawk carbon metallic. Each of the local auto parts retailers would look it up and then get me pads that were two small, for a single piston caliper. I had to get my current set from the dealer and even they had a little difficulty (2 attempts) getting the correct pad.
I'm thinking I'll get a set of pads for DD needs, I've read a few recommendations for Akebono's? No/little dust, durable ... thoughts?
Then additionally having a couple sets on hand better suited for track events.
Thanks for any thoughts.
