Wheel bearing or brake help!!!!

ok im not really sure what the problem is but it is consistenly a problem as well as a nusance. i have a 04 5at g35, with not even 40,000 miles on it. the problem occurs everytime i hit the brakes now. it is a loud croaking/groaning like noise. if i jam on the brakes hard to stop it does not do it but if i just brake normal it makes the noise like crazy. i am looking to fix this problem soon and i was gonna replace the hub. not sure if that is the problem so im also looking at new brake pads even tho im highly doubting it would have anything to do with that. any help guys don't wanna just waste money on parts. seems like the wheel bearing but i would think it would do it the whole time and not just when i am braking.

Wheel bearing makes "whoo-whoo-whoo" noise at cornering. It has nothing to do with hitting the brakes.
Make sure your brake hardware is not worn out and installed properly-with shim kit. If you have "no name" "lifetime warranty" brake pads-ditch them in favour of Hawk, EBC, KVR etc.

thanks and yes i am looking at taking it apart either tomorrow or thursday. it seems like it has been getting worse and so thats what i have been leaning towards. and it used to not always do it and doesn't do it at all like i said when i jam on the brakes hard
