yeah, I already have Stoptech SS lines and run Motul RBF 600 fluid...like to upgrade everything.

do you have the correct part numbers for the ceramic Wagner's? all I can find is the semi-metallic compound. I can't find them on Amazon and their website lists several different numbers for the G under the Thermoquiets...confusing.

I bought Wagner Thermoquiet pads from www.rockauto.com. I did a quick search there and they list:

WAGNER Part # PD888A More Info {ThermoQuiet}
OE Replacement; Ceramic; Front; RWD (Only 3 Remaining)

WAGNER Part # PD905 More Info {ThermoQuiet}
OE Replacement; Organic; Rear; AWD

You might want to double check the rears at least. I know it says " Rear; AWD" but judging from the other pads listed all the rears are the same for the given model year. Then again it's been a long night and I'm in need of sleep lol.

the replacement Street Sports Series from Endless are way too expensive at $150 to $200 for each front or rear pair.

I am looking for a street use only pad that has no noise, virtually no dust, excellent bite from cold start and reasonable cost like the Vita Nuova.

any recommendations are appreciated. thanks in advance.
I think the Vita Nuova were replaced with the Endless SSYs.

So what did you end up ordering? I'm curious so I could add to the list of good pads to run with. Let us know how they perform!

too many mixed reviews on the Hawk pads for me to consider. if I did any Hawks, it would be their performance ceramics. thanks for the rec.

leaning towards the Akebono Pro-Act ceramics. having a tough time getting confirmation of the correct part #'s for those Wagners.

have the Akebono Euro ceramic on my DD Passat wagon and love them. no noise, no dust, linear/smooth pedal feel and decent stopping power from cold start. this is not a track pad or high speed pad driving pad by any means, but I don't drive my car that way...especially the Passat.

will let you know what I choose as my Endless pads are no longer endless. right rear pad had gone out a little sooner than I thought and I need to take her to my buddies shop for replacement of rotors, pads, fluid flush and 2 new front tires.

decided to go back to OEM rotors and get rid of these Stoptech cross drilled cheese graters. too noisy under heavy braking and they warped.

OK, I need pads that don't dust, I had the lips color-matched IP and they go from clean to filthy in about 75 miles

From what I'm reading here, the ceramic Wagner's seem like a good option, but I can't figure out what I'm supposed to get

I found them for the front, but it says "w/o VDC" which I have... is that a problem or not

Another site I was on listed different brake parts for early 03's vs later ones

I'm so lost

Can somebody just point me to some front+rear ceramic pads that don't dust and won't cost a fortune?

I had the same problem with the Wagners. could not get confirmation of the correct part numbers for the front and rear ceramic compound pads. their website is totally confusing and even Amazon did not list the part number for the rear pads for my 2005 coupe. otherwise I would have given them a shot.

I went with the Akebono Pro-Act ceramics which is what I also have on my daily driver Passat. absolutely no dust, no noise, smooth/linear pedal feel and decent stopping power from cold. the pads do not have the stopping power of the Endless Vita Nuova I had, but it is not much different. perfect for a daily driver or those who do not track their cars. you can get them on Amazon and they are realitively inexpensive.

I would highly recommend these if your biggest concerns are dust, noise, pedal feel and budget. for a little more stopping power you may want to look at the Hawk performance ceramics, but I have no experience with them. I would recommend Endless Street Sports pads as they offer the best of all worlds, but are very expensive for brake pads.

good luck.

which pads? I mentioned you can get Akebono's on Amazon. you can also get Hawk performance ceramics on Amazon. if you don't like Amazon then go to Tirerack. the only place I know where to get Endless pad is www.mynismo.com.

^Ok, thanks.

I just looked at Amazon. Looks like the Akebonos are for me. They're at least $50 less than the Hawks

DRG35, did you end up getting Akebono pads instead? How do you like them? Yea, I did a quick search for the Wagner Thermoquiet last week and Rockauto.com only has them in ceramic for the front '05 rwd coupe and organic compound for the rears of the same year and model. Sorry if you were looking for full ceramic compound for all corners.

NFSP, please let me know what you choose and your opinion and experience.

yes, went with the Akebono Pro-Act ceramics and very happy I did.

have the Akebono Euro ceramics on my Passat and love them. they are perfect for the daily driver, but I was concerned the stopping power may not be enough for the G or as good as the Endless Vita Nuova.

my G has a "bit" more power than my Passat and I tend to drive a "little" faster and more aggressive in the G. was not sure if the Akebono's would be the pad for this car, but I was wrong. they are everything I expected from the performance on my Passat and more.

no noise, no dust, linear/smooth pedal feel and decent enough stopping power from cold start. the difference in stopping power from the Endless is negligible. to top it off they are realitively inexpensive, especially compared to the new Endless Street Sports series.

I also believe going back to OEM rotors versus the Stoptech drilled rotors has helped lessen the noise and pedal harshness I would feel.

this car is not tracked and I basically got the drilled rotors for looks. I drive my car hard, but not ridiculous so it does not need a very aggressive pad compound. my biggest concerns are obviously adequate stopping power, no noise, no dust and a smooth pedal feel. the Akebono's satisfy all these requirements.

IMO the OEM rotors, Akebono ceramic pads, StopTech SS lines and Motul fluid make a great combination for a street driven, higher powered GT.
