How do you know if you have sport susp?

I have an 04 6MT with 23,000 mile but I am experiencing some bouncing from the rear that I don't like. How do I determine if it has a sport suspension? Does the Brembo option indicate the sport package?

Not true. 05-07 Coupes with 19" have the revised rear spring rates, but the sport suspension was available before that. On an 04 the easiest way to tell if you have the sport suspension is to look at the shocks/struts; they will be red instead of black. Also, you couldn't get a 6mt without the sport suspension from the factory.

Not quite right. This is available in the sticky up above, but let's clarify: The 03-04 sedan had the "sport suspension" option, but that basically had the same spring rates and shocks as the 03-04 6MT coupes. The 05-07 6MT coupes (with 19" wheels) came with the "sport-tuned suspension" that had higher rear spring rate, stiffer shocks all around and a stiffer front sway bar. Bottom line for the OP is that he doesn't have the "sport-tuned suspension" but has the standard coupe suspension, which was labeled "sport suspension" on the 03-04 sedan.

Sport suspension ?

I checked and the color of the shocks and struts is black. I was thinking that with the Bremo & manual options it would have the sport suspension.

If you have the 19" Rays and the spoiler you have the sport suspension I believe.

Again, shock color doesn't matter for 03-04 coupes. There was no "sport suspension" option on 03-04 coupes, regardless of whether 6MT or 5AT. Sport suspension was only an option on 03-04 sedans. 'Sport-tuned suspension" package was offered on 05-07 coupes with 19" rays and was standard on 6MT coupes of those years. Bottom line is you don't have it - all coupes in 03-04 came with the same suspension.

05 Z suspension

I know where an 05 Z is that is wrecked. I am thinking about getting the springs and putting a set of Tokico HP's on it. If I understand correctly that should drop it slightly and firm it up some. I am not looking to drop it much but I would like to get rid of the bounce in the rear.
