negative camber worse after alignment?!?
So... I recenlty lowered the 06 G35x on Koni yellows and H&R springs. Drop looks great, but now have much more "feel" for the road. Getting used to it.
The negative camber was appearant right away, just got a new set of tires, and had the alignment done. According to the shop, correcting the toe brought the camber further out of spec!! WTF?!?
Has anyone else had this problem? I don't particularly hate the look (it's not huge, but it is noticable) but I can't afford new tires every year from the wear...
Here are the specs;
BEFORE
LF
Camber -1.7
Toe -.19
RF
Camber -2.6
Toe +.17
LR
Camber -2.3
Toe +2.6
RR
Camber -2.1
Toe +.03 (only measurement in spec)
AFTER
LF
Camber -1.8 (.1 degree further out of spec)
Toe +.08 (just in spec)
RF
Camber -2.6 (same)
Toe +.07 (in spec)
LR
Camber -2.7 (.4 degrees further out of spec)
Toe +.13 (in spec)
RR
Camber -2.5 (again, .4 degrees further out)
Toe +.14
So they did a great job of getting the Toe back in line, but the negative camber on the rears is even worse.
I know i've seen it before, but cannot find now. Some people had posted alignment results with various springs on there. I might switch over to the revised Z suspension if it will correct the problem... Can't afford a camber kit right now

I just put on my camber kit, and with the stock camber and toe adjustments, your toe is affected, giving you more toe as camber goes positive. It's hard to explain it, but if you look at the arms, it'll make more sense... basically when you shorten the camber arm (going more positive), the toe arm pulls inward, so that you have more toe... I discovered this the hard way after getting 3 degrees of toe after my rear camber kit was installed...
At least I think that's what the reason is... correct me if I'm wrong!
