Suspension Squeak (Bushings & Endlinks Replaced)
Suspension Squeak (Bushings & Endlinks Replaced)
I have a 2005 G35 with 68,000 miles; it drives like a dream except for one ungodly problem. My G has the same high pitched suspension squeak oft mentioned in your forums. When I am driving through the rough streets of San Francisco, my car squeaks like an old mattress after hitting the tiniest of potholes (Be the road level, or an incline/decline). To eliminate this problem I installed new end links from the dealership, and had new bushings from mynismo.com pressed into the front compression rods. To my chagrin, the god forsaken squeaking returned, keeping my car embarrassing to drive. My question is, could this squeaking be coming from the ball joint on the compression rods? Or does anyone have an idea where this could be coming from?
It could be a number of things...two of which you just had replaced. I have the same squeaking noise right now but mine is the lower control arm, inner bushing. Another possible culprit could be the sway bar bushings. You should be able to give those a visual to see if they are torn/tearing/falling apart.
