I just bought some Tein s-Tech springs for my 07 Coupe 6mt with stock 19's. Is it wise to mount them with the stock shocks or should i buy some aftermarket shocks? How would the ride feel with the stock shocks. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Right now i'm running tein s tech springs on stock shocks .. ride isint bad cant complain .. I wasint planning on running it long it was just a temporary setup i put about 6000km ( about 3800 miles ) on this setup so far havint had any issue but i guess in the long run you would have problem.
My opinion is do a set of shocks with the springs. I personally am looking for more of a drop so i'm pulling out the springs and doing a coilover step up.

Thanks for the input. I am thinking of running that same set up for now Since i am a college student (there for i am broke) lol. I think its a much better look than the stock springs. And i only use the car on weekends only, or when it rains. I ride a motorcycle and commute daily on that. So i think it will not have as much of an impact for now.

That's the setup I was running. It was just fine for awhile but over time your shocks will get bad.
Oh...my springs were 350Z s techs nevermind haha

I think people are overly paranoid about running springs with stock shocks. You should be fine for quite a while.

i think the question is.... how many miles do you have on your stock shocks?
if he has XX,XXX miles it may be a better idea to upgrade while hes already installing the springs.

Well it's an '07 so prob not too many miles at this point. Also, don't the 6MT's have different shocks (sport suspension)? I would assume that these shocks will do better with lowering springs.

My car had the sport suspension and 2 shocks were blown at 45K miles when I had the S-Techs on, springs were put on around 30K. If you drive normally, they will certainly last longer but those springs will shorten the life of the shocks.
well it will only be for a while... and i literally only drive my car on the weekends, as i commute on my motorcycle everyday of the week. So i hope that is an advantage
