Sport vs non sport springs?

Okay, I have the 06 sport coupe. I am going to buy the Eibach Pro springs because I only want a mild drop. My understanding is that the oem sport springs are 1/2" shorter than the sedan springs, but are they 1/2" shorter than non sport coupes. If this is so, will the Eibach springs theoretically only drop my coupe 1/2" even though they are a 1" drop spring. I hope I didn't make this too hard to follow. Thanks!

PLONKA, you're good to go.

I have the same coupe with Tein 350Z H-Techs, and that's one of the few times you have to make those adjustments. In my case, add 1/2" to what it drops the Z.

But for you - using G35 spec'd springs - Eibach figures all that stuff our for us.

Just gotta make sure you or whomever orders the springs asks for the right vehicle/model application............or better still, model AND part #:

Installation: Lowering kit installation is not terribly difficult. Remove the old shocks, springs, spindles, shackles, or other components and replace them with the new ones. That's it. (Don't forget to have a first class wheel alignment done when you are finished.) However, what will be required by the do-it-yourselfer is time and strength. The parts can be heavy. The procedures are sometimes awkward and require special tools. And the fasteners (nuts and bolts) may be very tight. Also, as with installing any new suspension component, you will typically find related parts that are worn and need replacing (i.e. tie-rod ends). Bozo, that's just the response I was looking for. You're a good egg. I will be sure to post pictures. I've had my coupe for exactly a year and this will be my first mod. Can't believe I didn't start sooner.

Anytime, P. And hey, don't feel bad........I wondered the same thing, multiplied by 4.

You see, except for the 20" wheels, tinted windows, and smoked taillights - those ain't REAL mods in my book - I waited almost 4 years to even change my springs.

Got the car in Nov. 2006; just installed the springs in August 2010.

More to come, too; hopefully sooner rather than later, albeit modest upgrades in comparison to most.

Maybe a Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood; K&N Cold Air Intake and Air Filter.

Anyway, enjoy the Eibachs. Definitely a good choice, and I'd argue the 1st choice of reputable manufacturers that pops up in most cats' heads.

I've done Eibachs on my last 2 vehicles; no problems or complaints whatsoever.
