Apparently there is an issue with the COBB springs not seating correctly and is actually to big. Can anybody chime in?

I did some more search and it appears even idrive_MD has the same issue. Although he has no problems with it.

The issue is that the springs have the same diameter top to bottom where as apparently other springs tighten up to a smaller diameter towards the bottom. I'm kind of concerned but at the same time it seems like people have had no issues with it.

Also, about how much do these go for anyway? I can't really seem to find a price anywhere and the vendor I PM'd is taking a while to respond.

I got mine new for around $150 via ebay. I got my Cobb sways for the same price via the same ebay vendor. This was years ago though. Last I heard they were discontinued due lack of sales. MSRP was kind of high. Z1-performance might be able to get you a set, search them out here or on my350z.com.

Their website has been down for a few days now since I have checked, but it is www.z1auto.com I am not sure what is going on there.

As for the spring seating issue. I acknowledged what others were complaining about, but so long as the installer (I did mine) makes note of it and make sure the spring is seated properly during assembly, you wont ever have an issue with it.

In my opinion, the only way it would slip of is if it wasn't installed with awareness of the issue and they didnt take the time to center it on the perches.

Here's a shot of someone with the 350Z Swift Sport Springs:

Seems pretty close to the Cobbs in my eyes. Maybe a little lower and level in the rear than the Cobbs

I suggest you browse this linked post some more and use the "search this thread" function and look for Cobb, Swift, RSR and Espelir.

That's a great looking set-up. Can you repeat or IM me with what springs, shocks, wheels and tire sizes you've got, and if you needed to add any adjustment kits to bring caster/camber and toe in line?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm just about done with my performance mods and I'm now looking to do suspension and body part changes. I need a good winter project to tide me over.

Thanks.

Not sure on his shocks, but he's dropped on Cobb Tuning springs. These springs don't really require any special camber kits either. Camber settings etc might be more dependant on your wheels and tires. If you want, you could get a rear camber/toe kit just beacuse they're so affordable when compared to front camber arms (which you wont need).

Yea nothing fancy here just the cobb springs. No Camber kit..not aftermarket shocks, yet (even tho ill need some sooner than later). Wheel sizes are 18x10 +25 and tire sizes are 245/40 front and 245/45 rear , i wouldnt recommend differences in profiles tho
