Clicking noise in front hub?

Been hearing a sound coming from the passenger front end that is louder than a click...more like something is rubbing against something when I'm making a left turn. I hear it mainly when I'm making a slow left turn. Sounds like a "bad CV joint", but the G is RWD. Is this a sign of the wheel bearing in the hub failing?

It might be the well known "axle click" issue.
I only noticed the clicking of my axle at low speed while turning.
If it is it just needs to be relubed.
Just do a search for "axle click" there's about 25 threads on it.

as I mentioned, it's not really a click, but more like a hard knocking sound...and it only is heard when I'm making a hard left turn. Definitely coming from passenger front side.

haven't had a chance to lift up the front yet, but I'm guessing it's the wheel bearing, which means replacing the front hub.

that might be a bad axle..my moms 2004 acura TL had that problem for a while and last month the whole axe like exploded stopping the wheel instantly and it shot bearing everywhere..mechanic said it was an axle and replaced it and now everything's fine

THx, but not sure if the TL being a FWD vs the G being RWD makes a difference. FWD would tend to have CV joints/Axle in front; RWD, axle in rear.

It's either your wheel bearing or the compression rod bushing is shot.

compression rod...that's new to me. Is it something that can be visually inspected on the car or does it need to be removed?

after reading up on the compression rod issue, I don't think that's the problem that I'm describing. My rods probably do need replacement though, because I do hear squeaks pulling into a driveway, but I can live with it for now. I'm deducing that the wheel bearing is the actual problem that I'm referring to.

There's an easy way to check your wheel bearings if you can jack up the corner you want to check. Grab the tire at the 12 and 6 o'clock position, then push/pull back and forth. If it wiggles then your wheel bearing is bad. The more it wiggles, the worse it is.

it doesn't have to have play in it to be bad. mine is bad and the sound is very noticeable over 40mph but has no play in it at all.
