Brakes People with akebono bbk please help

so i purchased the full akebono bbk kit for my 06 g35 coupe 6mt.. and i installed them and bled the brakes.. now at idle i hit the brakes it is stiff and when i pump the brakes are few times and hold it the brake pedal would sink half way.. is this normal? do i have to drive the car and break in the brakes for awhile?..i am at work so i didn't get to drive it yet to see how the pedal feels when driving.. but the technichian who worked on my car said he test drove it and when driving the pedal didn't sink at all was stiff throughout the test drive..

you probably still have air in the brake lines. Bleed it again.

It should feel any different than before.
The pedal should be firm at all times.
If there is any sponginess, you still have air in the system.

Akebono Pro Acts here. No problems. I'm sure you need to bleed your brakes further.

I did this upgrade a couple months ago. It took bleeding the brakes three times and it still wasn't as firm as I liked or expected. I finally brought it to the shop that does most of my work and had it done by one of there techs. Cost me $75.00 but they are hard as a rock and perform great. Are you bleeding both the inside and outside of the caliper?

yeah Right rear, left front, left rear, right front..bled inside bleeders then outside.. on all 4 calipers. i am using oem brake lines and regular DOT 3 brake fluid. does that make a difference? i read that brake lines don't make a difference on pedal feel..

i mean the pedal isn't soft soft.. its hard but when just sitting in the parking lot with the car on.. and pumping the brakes the brakes get stiff then when i hold it down the pedal it softens up a bit. and if i pump it again it gets stiff

I'd suggest getting it done by a shop, then proceed from there.

Like everyone said u still have air in the lines. I don't know about the design of the BBK, but on a regular brake.. u need to start with the brake that is furthest away from the master cylinder which would be the passenger side rear

so then their the same mechanics that told you the brake pedal feel was fine?

check your fluid you might be low and check if the cap is tight.

It also might be the master cylinder. If the seal on an internal piston fails, you would not see any leaks and the cylinder would lose pressure.
