Does anyone know cost effective options to increase my rotor size? I'm planning to get 19" wheels and I know they will look stupid with my tiny oem rotors.
Is there a way to fit larger rotors with stock calipers? If there is, what's the largest size that will look nice with 19" wheels?
This is for a non-brembo 03 g35 sedan btw.

You can't run bigger rotors on the stock calipers. Your options are to go with the Brembos found on the earlier 6MT models (I believe 03-04), an aftermarket BBK, or dress up what you have.
I painted my calipers and bought cross drilled rotors. I'm not gonna lie, I bought the rotors for the look and not for any sort of performance gain. I have 6 spoke 19s with a lot of open space in the wheel and it looks pretty good. Here's a pic of a rear wheel, obviously the front rotor will be larger.

if you want larger rotors w/o getting a BBK, OEM Brembos or Akebonos, then you might want to either look into upgrading to the full 05-06 OEM setup or the RacingBrace big rotor kits.

^^ this. I almost got a racing brake setup but I ended up going with the 06 Z non-brembo front/back setup.

Do you have any pictures of the RacingBrake on 19s? I can't find any and I'd like to see how big of a difference the rotors will look.Originally Posted by SDGenius

I'm trying to stay away from bbk because they're so expensive. I'm not willing to drop more than 1k on brakes. (rather spend that money on the wheels

Thanks mang! There are a lot of chrome haters on here but if done tastefully they can look great IMO. Ignore the wrong tire sizes in this pic but it will give you an idea of how they look on the car.Originally Posted by hL.

This is how the car sits now.

Very nice sedans boys, I'm jealous.
I guess they aren't going to be as bad as I thought. We'll see once I get the wheels.

The Racingbrake setup comes with pads, rotors, and the extended bracket. To my understanding, it's the bracket that allows larger rotors am I correct? Do you know any vendors/websites that sell JUST the brackets?

$450 shipped for everything. (calipers, lines, rotors and pads) All in almost new condition. I upgraded to SS lines though.Originally Posted by hL.

The 05+ Z and coupes will have this setup also.
You could probably find it cheaper depending on condition etc.
