04 g35 brembos need pads!

Man I made a big mistake I bought some autozone brakes and realized I needed to put some better brakes on. I don't go to the track and I only use my G as a DD. Any sugestions? Would the autozone brakes be that bad? I bought the best ones they had. I think they are the gold series? Anyways, suggestions please.

I'm really just looking for some solid brakes for DD

Yeah really, are you noticing any brake issues. The Gold series Duralast aren't too bad for DD applications. Lower dust than OEM, they should have OEM like bite and fade.

What more are you looking for? If someone bulked at you for getting them while hanging out at a hardparking meet, just shrug it off. If you're not racing or driving you car very very hard, you don't need anything special unless you're a brand *****.

If you feel like you absolutely must have better brake pads, look into the Akebono Pro ACT Ceramics or the StopTech Street Performance Pads. Both are really good OEM replacement pads with the StopTechs being slighty geared towards tracking.

Yeah, Duralast has very good quality control. In fact, Duralast doesn't make its own pads; instead it purchases batches of pads from various different brake manufacturers and brand them as their own. This way you get quality assured products at discounted price.

When dealers offer their "brake specials" for $99.99 or something like that, they would not give you the brake pads that come in a box with a "Made in Japan" label on it, the ones you typically get over the parts counter for around $100.00 a set. Instead, they would give you unbranded "OEM Replacement" brake pads that were made in Mexico, sold specifically to Nissan dealers for use on brake deal specials. These are the pads Duralast uses.
