trying to see what other lowered sedans fender heights are at. recently put coils on my car and lowered it to 25 in the front and i think my upper arms might be hitting the strut tower on bumps. but i feel like there are people with 20s much lower than i am. so i guess i want to know what your fender height is at and also what you did if anything to stop the upper arm from hitting anything

Tim (ttrank) is at about 24.25" up front. Cliff (dznuts) is at 24" or a tad lower which is very hard to pull off on aggressive 20s. I haven't heard that they have had issues with the upper arms hitting the strut tower, but I'm sure they will chime in.
Chris (g35papa) and Levon (Stimulation) are really low on 20s too but I'm not sure of their exact ride height.

i had read that in 1 of cliffs threads he said something about not being able to go any lower because his upper arm actually rest on his strut tower. i dont know if that was exagurating or what though. and im not even 100% sure if its the upper arm thats hitting that. its a clank noise though on my drivers side only so i just kinda assumed thats what it wasOriginally Posted by CandlestickPark

24.5 front and just under 25 rear
I hit the strut tower on larger bumps only.
You need to stiffen up the suspension Kenny. Get some sways and set them to full stiff as well as the coils. I'm also not running OEM arms...350evo

i have stillen sways on the stiffest setting, and my coils are 7 clicks from full stiff.

I just noticed you said it was on the drivers side only. You should take a look at your sway bar bushings. They will also give you a clunk when they go bad. Did you reuse your OEM bushings or go aftermarket when you installed your sways?
you mean bushings or endlinks? endlinks are new. bushings that mount it to the actual frame are oem. but i had the sways on before the coils and the noise started when the coils went on

I mean bushings. Where the sway bar mounts to the frame. You're lowered more now with the coils and on stiffer suspension. I'd take a look to see if they are ripping apart since their OEM
