Suspension Making Noise

Ok I need some help. For the last 9 months my 04 6MT coupe has been making a noise (go figure with all the noises these make). But this isn't normal. My suspension makes the creeking sound like when you are walking through an old house and the wooden stairs and floor make that creeking noise. It does this at the beginning of acceleration and going over bumps. I have a warranty but I'm terrified of going to the stealership to have them check it out....don't want a $200 bill just for looking at it and finding out its something not covered by the warranty.

Anyone have any idea what it may be and if it is covered under bumper to bumper warranty?

car has 88k miles...sport kit brembo package...no suspension mods

if someone also would like to tell me about the chatter i have from the tranny when my the clutch pedal is depressed that would be great too. chatter goes away when pedal is pressed in. the suspension one is more important to me though.

thanks fellow G members

Just take it to the dealer and tell them the problem. They won't charge you for it. If they find something that isnt covered by warranty, they have to tell you before they start any work.

You have to be more specific, where about is the creaking coming from? Inside the car/ outside/ passenger side/ etc, etc.

Could be the rear subframe or diff bushings. See if you have some leaks on the subframe mount..

I had the same noise until I went with new bushings. We can help you or another vendor to get these parts.

I was going to say to check the bushings also. I just replaced most of the bushings in the front suspension in the last few months and my G sounds better. I now have 120K miles on the car now, driving 70 miles a day round trip for work. I will need to replace that rear subframe bushing located in the center and waaayy up high on that frame. That will take some moaney as you have to completely remove all the suspension to remove that subframe. My G gets a clunky noise in the front still, but I believe that I need to check the strut mounts.

Good luck,

Ray
