Rear Suspension Clunking
Rear Suspension Clunking
Hey guys, about 2 weeks ago I started to notice a faint clunking noise coming from the back of my coupe sometimes when I would go over a speedbump. A week later, I started hearing it on rough or uneven roads, and it's louder than it was before. As of three days ago it has become pretty loud, not noticeable with the radio on but it's impossible to ignore with it off. It happens when the car is somewhat swaying side to side, and only at low speeds.
I tested it tonight to see where the noise is coming from, and when I push down on the passenger side door sill and make the car rock side to side I can hear it. It only makes the noise on the passenger side as far as I can tell. I researched some and it looks like the most likely cause are the endlinks. Is there anything else that it could be? Is it a good idea to take it to the stealership or are they going to charge and arm and a leg?

It should be the endlink. I kinda have the similar sound that you refer to. While I did my maintainence, the guys showed me how loose the rear endlinks were causing the chunk or clicking sound. My shop recommanded me to change it only if it gets too annoying. They quoted me 100 parts and labor. Stay away from dealerships! They prob charge way more
