Hey guys got a question. I'm dropped pretty low on these coils. My lowest point of the car is 2.5inch. which would be ok if they were so damm soft. i'm about to rub threw my wheel wells. Now my front are on full stiff and they feel like they are on full soft. My preload is set at 10mm if i adjust it higher will that help stiffen up the ride or just make it more bouncy?

I also have a question about these coilover i had them on for about a month so far. The fronts are perfect but as for the rear I just instaleld the strut and spring without the pieces thats suppose to come with the spring.

Can anyone give me an explanation on how to install them, also I set the ride height by the strut/shock.

Your being serious? or do you know that adding more preload will make my ride really bouncy? 10mm of preload was kinda hard to get i'm sure i could twist that spring a bit tighter using the tools by hand. The only thing that i could see happening from this is, bouncier ride and maybe it would raise the car a 1\8th of a inch. Its dropped perfect in the front. once your so low its hard to raise your car haha

Are you trying to install them true coil way or non? this video helped me out a lot when i first got coils. pretty much shows you how to do preload and turn the rears into true. "even though hes doing the front coils in this video"

How much preload are you guys running? I finally got my coils pretty dam stiff. I didn't switch springs but I'm running about 15-20mm of preload. I adjusted the coils where I had enough threads to do so, it's a lot stiffer now.

"Ahoy Matees",
21 months on me pirates and me rates em' 4 ARRS out of 5.

"Yarr, Its been stated that I don't know what I'm doin'." harr, harr
The shame is the price increases on racingFirst EBay since I bought in Feb 2011 but still these are reliable, adjustable and simply can be "the catch o' the day."

They have done good thinks for me. My G sedan looks good, fun to drive and ride in.

Squiddys, if you don't have gold in yer wallets; Save money on these, they are respectable products for street rides. And, learn sport level suspension, wheel & tire fitment, camber, toe, alignment on your G.
Oh, me thinks the guns are a good idea if ya care to know!
"Arr, shut up. I know what I'm doin'."

Auto, sedan, silver, slammed on eBay coils
I’m joining you.

[QUOTE=toro12;5735732]Arr, pirates, tis a scurvy scheme ere (to some on this forum) but it can earn ya a one way (oh and $520 cheap, was $450 when I pulled the trigger) reliable passage to DIY coilovers. Yarr

So squidy's yer "sticker shocked" and thinkin yer a "lost soul" and don't belong Narrr, Narrr.

As you be needin a "laugh" tonight read this:

Now, here is a report and some follow-up,

alas matee's "no private shame"

Attachment 241628
Attachment 241629

'fer now let us batten down the missenmast, Matees.'

Enjoy this report.
I'm the 1st to admit rolling with these $450, G350 coilovers on this forum, I think.

Maybe someone else has them but I'll take the "sword" for being truthful about it.[/QUOTE

I recently installed that exact same set of coil overs on my sedan. I noticed a metal clicking noise from both rear control arms, immediately when driving it on the coils. I used the oem lower rubber mount for the lowering spring on both rear control arms. I made sure I used all the rubber mounts that came with them, but I’m still hearing noises. This is after I double checked everything to make sure it was torqued to spec. The only thing I’m wondering, is the lack of rubber mounting causing these noises? The only way to fix that would be cut the oem spring to the same length as the rear lowering spring, and then take the lowering spring out and out the oem rubber mounts and cut Oem spring on both rear control arms. Well still having the lowering strut on both rears. Do u experience these noises from the control arms?
