well I was installing my rear end links today and had a few questions...I loaded the car on my Ramps as shown below....my questions that I have is that I know when it comes to SWAY BARS You want to keep your 90 Degree angle after your car is lowered so that you have the full performance of your suspension after being lowered etc.
With that being said my rear sway sways before switching out were loaded at around a 65 Degree angle...see diagram below.....DONT COMMENT ABOUT MY PAINT WORK! LOL! when installing the end link I adjusted the Sway bar so that it would be set at a 90 degree angle then adjusted the end links down to where they would fit in without any tension...DOWNFALL....my SPL Rear end links are almost fully maxed out on adjustments......is this normal??
After adjusting the sway bar I am now almost sitting on my SPC Rear Camber arms as well as my exhaust.....Does this just basically mean I am almost to LOW!
Car is loaded:

How close it sits to Camber Arm.
after being adjusted this is how it sits on the exhaust now.
how much the end link is adjusted.....NOTE: that I havent tightened down the bolts yet.
The angle of the sway bar isn't very important (as long as it is equal on both sides). I'd adjust the angle of the sway to get more clearance. Here are the angles you should be concerned with:
If you follow those guidelines, the endlink should end up about at its shortest length. At least that was my experience and the result in ByThaBay's video here:

yeah thanks for the info Brandon. I got that portion already I just thought in order to get the sway to load up the right way I thought that was a very LONG LENGTH to get down to the sways themselves. I went ahead and tightended everything down. With the car on ramps the End links still are able to be pivoted side to side without and tension on them...they are still alittle longer than I would like as far as adjusted but driving through my twisties out here in the country by my house I could def tell the back-end was alot stiffer and was holding better than my OEM end links were.
i have a question about those end links... those are the ones in the picture of the install. but the ones i have are the current ones on SPL's site, where one end is solid and the other is adjustable. Do i have the older or newer model?
I'm just a little confused
I took my rear spl end links to get it installed, mechanic told me it doesn't fit. It's too close to the coilover. You guys have any issue with this?? See attached picture! Spl end links close to coilover
