Hey guys and girls wanted to share my recent experience with trying Z springs on my 03 coupe.
Last year, I bought a set of Z springs from a reputable and well know Z forum member off ebay. I got them for almost free.
As you all have heard, Z springs of the same generation are supposed to lower the coupe 0.5".
Two weeks ago we tried installing the rears, and they ended up RAISING the car a few mms. I have no idea why, they were installed properly. Maybe they were sedan springs? I don't know how to tell, is there a part number on them?
Anyways, if I could do it again obviously I'd rather fork out for aftermarkets to avoid wasting time.
Maybe it does normally work, but who knows, I don't think I want to try it again.
Cheers,
Eric

well your car won't look much lower until the springs settle...what are the markings or dots on the springs? thr should be like 2 white dots and 1 blueish dot I think that means they are revised Zsprings.
They were not revised springs. Do they have to be revised to drop 0.5? If so then there's my problem.
I know it takes time to settle, but they are used, and I doubt they will settle an inch. We drove it around for a while as well.
Thanks

no unrevised will drop you even more, take a picture of the markings on them, I have sedan springs in my garage I can check to see if I have the same markings on my sedan springs, so if they arent the same as my sedan springs and they don't have the markings to be revised then thrs only unrevised zsprings left & someone will chime in with the markings on those.

Aren't there some 350Z type S or R springs that are supposed to be good for our coupes?

I have 06 350Z springs on right now and the drop is pretty nice. Going TEIN G35 H-Techs soon though.

your coupe springs from an 03? were probably worn causing them to sit lower. It took a while for my z springs to settle
