Auto zone also shows they can get them. Slightly more expensive, but still cheaper than an Infiniti vendor. I just google the BM500013 part number rather than look up the parts by vehicle.

Anyway, with bearing in hand, I can easily see how these seize in the hub. The bearings insert with what looks like a clearance fit into the hub.

Guess I'll plan on pulling the spindle. Just gonna buy a press from harbor frieght so i have it with the car for this. Can use the cash I saved on the bearings

(I have plenty of uses for a press...just needed an excuse )

Just because pictures help, this is the part I got.

Timken BM500013 (Front bearing AWD) From my research, all 03-06's will use this. Supposedly, early 03's had a slightly different bearing that was changed midyear, but the new bearing is compatible and considered the appropriate replacement. You might want to check with an infinti dealer first if you have an EARLY 03 if the replacement p/n is the same as, say, an 2006 model. If it is, this bearing will work then.

Timken BM500006 is the REAR bearing. I've found them in the ballpark of $50

And here's the bearing. It wasn't vacuum sealed. I did that. I figure it might be a month or two before i get to installing it, and last thing i need is the summer humidity rusting up my expensive bearings before i even install them. But, as you can see here...it's an NTN bearing

I have the other one at work so i can find the correct size race to press the bearing backside without pushing on the "cage" as you can see. You have to press on the inner hub, under the cage when you press the hub in.

I'll take pics when i buy a hub and press it on. I don't know if i'll go to DIY-level with this, but i'll try to take as many pics as i can because there are very few on a front bearing job for us AWD guys.

Good luck with that. I ordered one from there to and about 2 days later they e-mailed me saying that the part wasn't in stock and I'd have a refund within 5 days. If you check your order and it says something like error or pending instead of processed or shipped you'll see what I mean. I hope they have them in stock now for you because I paid about twice as much just to find one somewhere else. No one seems to carry these for some reason!

Autozone also said they could get them until I tried to order one and it came back as "manufacturer out of stock."

Well that sucks. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing and they will eventually get more in stock at some point.

Post up if anyone actually gets another bearing from somewhere.

I as well. I've actually started to NOT use my car for long distance drives now. The humming on the highway makes me nervous. Above 80, I get a vibration from my passemger side fromt which rotating the tires doesn't fix. This is the one I am going to fix first.

I started noticing the hum right at 70k miles...right after warranty was done. I'm at 83k now, so 13k on humming bearings. I still think I can go some more...but now highway driving is just becoming uncomfortable as o can hear the hum, feel the vibration and just don't feel good about it.

That's how mine feels as well...humming noise and i can feel it in pedals and steering wheel. I beleive it's the driver's side bearing. Weird thing is on cool dry days, it's smooth and relatively silent. Hot humid days days..it hums like crazy. odd.

ANyway, bought a hub. Got it off Ebay for $140 shipped. SO bearing plus hub ran me $85+140 = $225 for one side.

So, i'm heading into work tomorrow to use the 20-ton press to press the hub in. I have the correct dies to put the loads on the right spots.

Just to confirm, i beleive i am going to bottom the hub out on the bearing face correct? I've asked in the RWD bearing thread because I beleive it's similar.

Reason i'm not reusing the hub from my old setup is that for the work i'm about to do, i don't want to take a chance the hub is bad now. Plus, having the bearing and hub pressed together ahead of time will make assembly easier.

Once the old hub/bearing is out, i'll check for runout. If it's good...i'll pull the hub and use it on the other side. If it's bad...trash

EDIT: little tip for DIYers when pressing. You can see a cage on the bottom of the bearing. Dont press the hub in with the force on this cage like in the above picture. You need a die that is smaller than the cage to put the load on the inner race. If you press on the cage, you run the risk of pushing the bearing apart through the back....not good. I'll post pics in updates
