Suspension shock question

Hi guys,
I was inspecting my g35 today for any problems that may have contributed to why my rear tires are wearing on the inside and also I hear a strange noise coming from the passenger rear tire. The noise comes on when u start to drive forward or backwards. It sounds like something breaking (tick tick). While looking around I noticed that the shocks seems to have or look like small cracks right where the welds that join the fork to the shaft. I also noticed that the shocks are Tokico. My questions are:

1. I've read several threads about Tokico so I'm wondering if the stock shocks are Tokico brand? The previous owner said that everything is stock so I'm just curious. BTW, the shocks are black if that helps.

2. Has anyone experienced this cracking noise (tick tick) no more, no less?

3. Can worn shocks contribute to the tires wearing on the inside? BTW, I just had the Alignment done a few days ago and the before and after measurements did not change. The fronts were adjusted to be in spec but the rears could not.

Its the infamous "Axle Click". If you still have the full warranty, a dealership will fix it for free. There's a DIY around here somewhere too if your handy with tools.

How out of spec is the rear?
Tokico makes the OE shocks and struts, which are black. Thats probably whats on your car unless they have a big sticker that says Tokico on the lower side and D spec on the top.

Hmmm, that may be it, never thought of that. What are the terms of the warranty anyways? My car is an 04 with 46k.

The final readings for camber are:

RR: -2.3
RL: -2.1

spec: -1.8 to -0.8

What are the TOE settings at?
Toe should be between .00 - .08 front and .00 - .022 rear.
Is your car lowered? Thats a lot of camber for a stock car.
I have just over 2 degrees of camber front and rear (2.1* front and 2.1* rear) and my car is lowered about 1.5" front and 1. rear with natural cambe up front and adjusted camber in the rear.

Both front and rear toe are in spec, front camber also in spec. The car is not lowered. It's sitting on 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear.

Well our cars are notorious for tire wear issues. 2.1 - 2.3 degree's is a lot for a stock car. I have read other posts of people with similar problems as you are having, on a stock car as well. I think one of the guys ended up buying adjustable front and rear camber arms to prolong the tire life. Ill see if I can locate them.

Get your car realigned and in spec, for a daily driver i wouldnt do much more than -1.5 unless you autocross or hit the roadcourse.
