Ugly brake callipers

Has anyone found an inexpensive way to improve the look of the stock brake callipers on a 2005 G35

Paint them black or maybe silver, no flashy colors and no covers! Or save up for an oem brembo/akebono or bbk upgrade.

they have kits on ebay where you can keep your OEM rotors and run Wilwood calipers for pretty cheap.

^you have to have the 05-06 rotors, so it would be more expensive for you.

I posted a thread asking the same thing. Duplicolor makes a kit that you can use to clean and paint your Brakes without taking them off. Just take of your wheel. I would highly recommend buying black or silver brake paint to also paint the rusty center.

yup, they make rears too. i know you can get OEM Brembos around the same price but most of the used sets available need new rotors and pads, so you'll end up spending more. plus if the calipers need refinishing, then you'll spend even more. so the ebay kit w/WW calipers ends up being a much simpler and cheaper swap in most circumstances. if you get a good deal on Akebonos and brackets it might end up in that price range too but you'll be adding a lot of unnecessary weight.

ebay has 4 pot Wilwood front and rears. Here's a link to the rears, for some reason they are more expensive than the fronts.

I little brake parts cleaner, some scrub brushes, a few hours of time and some high temp silver and you get this.

Don't the decals get to hot and discolor or burn?
