Coilovers or Springs for Flush look? Help!!

I just bought my wheels vertini magic 20x9 with 20 offset and 20x10 25 offset
im trying to get the flush look and im also going to space my wheel out to get the 10.5 inch look in the rear.
My question is the shop is recommending tein coilovers which i know are good and worth it but i dont have $1300 to spend on them. 1 are there any other coilover sets thats under $1000 thats worth getting? or 2 should i just put the wheels on and spacers measure the space between the tire and fender and get some quality springs based on the inches?

just get coilovers , do it right the first time around. there are many sets for under 1000. search the marketplace on these forums for some great deals on second hand ones or if you prefer new check out the listings from vendors.

lols, your Post goes perfect with your username,

Anyway, assuming you have a coupe, those widths and offsets will leave you no where near flush, your going to need some 25-30mm spacers all around . And if your trying to have that "flush look" on springs, ain't gonna happen son, All springs leave you wheel gap. and wheel gap = fail

And if you have a sedan, I can't help you. GL

Like what brands are good so far I see under $1,000
Megan racing
KSport
D2 Racing
Tein Street basis - $800 not a bad price

What about doing springs and just also getting a good pair of shocks and struts?

If you want the flush look, springs & shocks/struts won't do the job. To be flush, your car needs to be low to no finger gap or lower. As Iseechris mentioned, springs will leave a gap. It costs money to play here, so you're better off getting coilovers. I had springs before, now I have coils. It's worth it.

What do you think about the Tein Basis Coilover set there only $800
and trust me im spending alot in this car and just trying to under a $5,000 budget
already spent $2600 in new wheels and tires
Budgeting the rest for Drop
next mods will be Brake kit and greddy or hks or apexi exhaust

Tein basics ride like **** man, trust me I had them at one point, Your best bet would be to get a used set of megans in the marketplace, or if you want to go low, BC or Stance coils.
Stay away from basics, what wheels did you get ?

But for the OP... If your budget is less than 1k I would say go withr the Megan coils...(have been proven to go low and still ride some what comfortable) Look at the market place, get an idea what's out there then go to the vendors to see if they have any promotions going on and online coupons... Nothing wrong with being frugal!!!

Also I don't know if you are using the car as daily but with the coils you will be able to adjust the height to your driving style ... With springs you will have to adjust your driving style to the drop...

Do you know what tires you want to run on the rims? Since that also determines what spacers you will need... Looking forward to updates GL!!!

Orly? I used to have DF210s, lowest springs that I know of, not only did they feel like ****, but i wasn't nearly low enough how I wanted to be. Springs with that much of a drop WILL eventually blow your shocks, unless you get aftermarket ones, and for about 150-250 more you can get a used set of coils

All shocks will blow eventually even on stock springs... And a 2-2.25" drop on most stock G coupe will get you tire to fender with no gap all the way around with the oem 19"s ... And yes the Tanabe are the lowest ones i have seen also... Op is going with 20s so I say go with coils but I have seen G coupes riding really low on springs... I do agree that the ride is awful...
