03/04 vs 05 + brake pads?

Doing my first brake job on my 06 MT sport coupe.
I've searched the site and the general consensus seems to be that all rear pads 03-07 minus the brembo's are the same. Then then 05+ uses bigger fronts. Is this correct? Its a daily, should I just stick with oem? I can't find the oem part numbers for the life of me, halp!!!! Also any recommendations for aftermarket brands and materials is appreciated, thanks

I think that's corrrect. The rears are the same although the 05+ has a larger rotor. 05+ have different pad p/ns but I don't know if they are actually larger or not.

If you have the 03-04 brakes, then I say stick with oem and put up with the dust. If you have the 05+ stick with oem as they actually don't dust and have the best all around performance.

I upgraded from the smaller 03 brakes to a set of 05+ g/350z brakes. Great upgrade for me.

OEM pads aren't badat all, but I still tried Akebono replacements (pads) and have no complaints here. I also did slotted DBA rotors in an attempt to curb my pulsing issue (only a few hundred miles though on this setup though). I know the OEM pads generated supercar stopping distances but I can sacrifice a few feet if these can prevent pulsing/"warped" rotors. I guess time will tell.

I did this same upgrade and I love it. If I remember correctly, the rear caliper and pads are the same, but the rear caliper bracket is different on the 05+
