05 sport sedan springs noticeably thicker than zs

05 sport sedan springs noticeably thicker than zs

hello i have 05 sport sedan and this weekend i did a z/g drop and i noticed the z springs were not as thick as my sport springs. how can it have same spring rate ?? Anybody know if this is gonna affect my ride at all?
i really liked the sport feel. thnx guys

less coils? when the number of coils decreases the spring rate increases.. when the diameter of the spring wire decreases the spring rate decreases.. so put the two and two together and the z MAYBE a slightly lighter car then the G Sedan..

Also your sedan is a sport (stiffer springs) did you get your springs from a SPORTS Z not a base?

Thnx for quick reply. I dont know if it was off of a sport z. 2 red and one pink on the rears. 1 pink for the.fronts. Your explanation makes sense thnx

Ahhh okay. =P iono. The part number should be written on the spring I'd just check that at a local dealer.

Springs are installed now. But i havent driven it yet. Brake job in the works thnx pal
