Question Brake pads for 05 sedan with sport package

I've got an 05 sedan 6MT which of course has the sport package (6MT does not come without sport option.) and non-Brembo brakes. (2005 G's did not have a Brembo option.) Everything is stock. I have replaced my OEM pads with some inexpensive (due to local availablity, mainly) aftermarket pads. I learned the following while doing this:

1.) The sport package has different brakes from the non-sport. Bigger pads.
2.) No one's parts catalog reflects this different brake pad requirement for the 05 sedan with sport package.
3.) A lot of people say that the 05 M35 pads fit.
4.) The M35 pads do fit, but at least with the cheapies I bought, not well. They bind just a little around the edges of the caliper and do not release well enough to keep from building up a glaze and squeal a lot.

All of my tabs and springs are in the right places, and my pins have clean lube. I have 0.003" to 0.004" of runout on all my rotors and no detectable pulsing, wobble or pulling. Just a lot of squeaking. My front wheels are COVERED in dust from these pads.

I want to change the pads again, I don't want to spend over $100 on front pads. I also prefer not to mail order them because I had to return several pairs that were the wrong size before I bought these M35 pads. I've found that a visual inspection prior to providing payment is important. The pads most shops provide when told to fetch a set of 2005 G35 sedan pads is substantially smaller than what I need. No amount of explaining that they are going to get the wrong pads unless they listen to me seems to change that.

Finally, the question:

Does anyone know the part number for any brand, I'd like OEM, pads for the 2005 sedan sport brake pads? I've seen a few posts talking about it, but none have revealed this important piece of information.

I have called a couple of dealers. Surprisingly, they were no help.

Any assistance is appreciated. I will do my best to post back with a part number if I find it before anyone posts in response.

For 2005 all RWD G35s came with the same brakes. 12.6" front and 12.1" rear. My 2006 uses the same pads and I got my replacements from infinitipartsusa.com (owned by an Infiniti dealer). They currently go for $58.66. Make sure to enter you VIN when you order. I think the 2005+ OEM pads are quite good for the street. Human error is always possible, but I'd trust the Infiniti database over any general retail parts database.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'll give infinitiparts a call. I've been to their website before. I'd like to get them to confirm the dimensions before i order. Also, the price I see when I look is $76.66. Am I somehow navigating to the wrong pads?

Oh, I gotcha. I wasn't real clear about which pads they were. I'm looking for front pads. I'll give 'em a call Tuesday. Sounds like they're the best place to go. I may check the price at a local dealer, but I'm sure it will be more. Thanks again!

I am also trying to decipher the 2005 6mt sedan brake mystery. It seems that many parts stores have the 2005 2wd models designated as having Brembos, which is obviously not the case. Do the 6mt sedans have the same rotors as the g35x, but different pads?

Nope. On 2005 sedans, the brakes are completely different between 2WD and AWD. Different size rotors, different pads, and 2 piston front calipers for 2WD versus 1 piston for AWD. For 2006 the AWD got the better brakes from the 2WD.

This info is in the factory service manuals which can be found here:
