Brake Questions

My car occasionally pulsates now when I brake. I am assuming it's time to replace the pads and/or rotors. I changed them all last about two years/25,000 miles ago.
1. In your experience with your cars, is the " pulsation" problem upon braking from the rotors or the pads?
2. How often do you change the rotors along with the pads? I have heard changing the rotors for every 2-3 change of the pads.
3. I believe the recommendation by Infiniti is to change the pads when there is less than 2 mm left. Is that the rule you guys have followed?
4. I am considering Akebono ProACT Ceramic Pads( from tirerack . com) Vs OEM pads( from infinitipartsusa . com). The price will be about the same. Any recommendations?
Thanks

I try very hard to ignore anything that the stealership recommends, I check my pads every time I do an oil change....strange how the rear brakes wear out first on our cars. What you're experiencing is probably warped rotors, if they're still within specs you can have them turned. Anything you need for your brakes can be found on our MARKETPLACE under vendor brakes, great prices and immediate delivery! I love my HAWK HPS brake pads, they double the mileage I get compared to OE pads and very little dust....
