brake pad suggestions.

hey guys, newer to the forms and didnt see a thread answering my questions exactly.

I've got an 06 G35 MT with just about 64,000 km and plan to keep oem callipers . Just to give you some insight. This car is next to never driven. Since nice weather in good old southern ontario started (may) I've put on about 2,500 km. Which answers another question, yes only summer driven, therefore I dont have to worry about cold stops.

-Since the car isn't driven often and almost washed every time it is driven brake dust isn't a huge concern. (but of course, less is best right?)

-I drive the car sporty around town, but have never brought it to a track nor do I plan on it.

-Cost isn't a huge concern, but dont want to pay $600 for front pads

I was happy with the oem performance but if there was a pad out there that was possibly a bit better in braking distance, of course I'd rather that.

Rotors are in good condition, but may change them just because.I currently have about 20% left on my pads now and would like to change them before winter comes (next month probably will put the car away).

A few local part stores are suggesting a AC Delco pad? But I'd like to hear what you guys have to say with experience.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the advice in advance.

The stock pads on the 05-06 are good all-around pads. Unless they have let you down in the past, I'd say get another set. I don't trust any of the store brand (i.e. AC Delco) pads.

Factory brake pads will stop your G just fine! But if you dislike dust as much as I do buy HAWK HPS pads from our MARKETPLACE under vendor brakes. There's no reason to buy new rotors unless yours are very worn, you can buy those from our MARKETPLACE too. Don't forget to do the brake pad bed in process if you buy the HAWKS....SEARCH! Delco pads....NO!

Right now I have the EBC Yellowstuff on my car, and I'm very satisfied. The pads have a nice feel to them, and don't make noise/squeel/etc. They do dust, however, as with all brake pads, you have to compromise somewhere. Look into those, I suspect I'll probably be buying another set when the time comes.
