05 coupe front brake HELP

I have an 05 coupe 6mt. I've done a lot of research trying to figure this out my self but still am stuck. I'm replacing all rotors and pads, bought r1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors and ebc redstuff pads. Back brakes went smoothly, then time for the fronts. I know the front rotors were replaced by previous owner because thy are drilled and slotted. After taking off the rotors i compared them to the R1's and the R1's have a little smaller diameter and are about an 1.25 inches thick. So i put them on just to test fit and the pads hang over the edge due to the diameter being smaller and the caliper would not go over the pads without forceful help. And i noticed the calipers were single piston and had red paint beneath the top silver coat, which makes me think they are not stock calipers. But cant figure out why anyone would go to single piston caliper and paint over the red paint. So i ordered another set of front rotors from Z1 motorsports thinking that i had got the wrong ones from R1 only to find out they are the exact same diameter and thickness. Im not sure what else to do besides possibly order brand new calipers for the front but wife is little upset with all the money i've put into the car already. I need to figure something out soon, the front rotors are cracked almost all the way through where the drilled holes are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
