Brake kit recommendation...

Hello gents,

I am interested in purchasing a brake kit that would replace my eye sore stock rusty calipers and rusty rotors. I do not ever plan on racing or drifting or putting a turbo in my car. I just want something nice to stick behind my newly refinished 19 inch Ray rims. I was thinking of painting my calipers and putting on cross drilled rotors when the time came but was looking for suggestions on what route others may have taken. Dumping 4 grand into a BBK package for both front and rears is way out of the picture. Although super cool I would pass on the idea due to $$$, a wife that would chop my head off and two little kids that eat more than a horse.

There is still allot of life left in my brakes just need to know what to plan for when the time comes. Thanks!!!!

You could always buy the OEM Brembo kit. They look and perform great. You can usually find them in the classified around 1,000 for everything

My car is a 07 g35 coupe. The older brembo kits would be perfect in my situation..... But would fitment be an issue? Like I mentioned the newer Brembo's are super nice but off the map when it comes to pricing....

Our Akebono Kit our be a great option for you, much larger calipers than OE Brembo (looks better), performs better and includes all new parts, so you don't have to worry about replacing things when buying a used it.

I run the RacingBrake slotted one-piece rotors. I would recommend these. You can get front and rear for about $400 bucks total. Stay away from cross-drilled rotors. They make look cool but that is basically all they are good for. If your not looking to spend a bunch of money on calipers, purchase a re-build kit and then just powder-coat or paint the OE calipers.

^x3 This is a very good kit for the price and it looks awesome! I picked up the slotted/cross drilled rotors and 40th anniversary red calipers. People always ask me about them and give compliments! One of the best bang for your buck brake kits out!
