05 Sedan - brake issue...soft to firm??
Hey guys. I've got an 05 AT sedan with 40k miles on the clock. The car is bone stock. I've got a strange issue with the brakes I've never experienced before.
Initial pedal feel when getting on the brakes is a little soft. Not bad at all...and pretty much what I would expect from this car. As soon as I let off and get back on the brakes right away, they literally feel twice as firm. I've never felt this 'reverse fade' before, and I can't imagine what it would be. I've dealt with bleeding brakes before, but air in the lines would have a consistent mushy feel, or degrade as temps increase...not start out mushy and get firmer with the second touch of the pedal. I can't help but feel it would be something with the master or the vacuum line system, but I really don't know if this is a chronic issue with these cars, as I just picked it up as my daily driver (and it's done this since I bought it). Its under an extended warranty if that makes any difference (if this is gonna be a costly troubleshoot/fix). Thanks in advance!
