How much can I lower?
How much can I lower?
I have 20's with 245/35 on a 8.5 inch wheel in the front and 285/30's on a 10 inch in the back.
Don't know jack **** about lowering, what other specs would you guys need to help me out?
Anyone lowered onto 20s and not rub? how much?
fenders need rolled I assume?
Any camber issues with lowering?
Thanks in advance guys

Well, for folks to help u out.. u need to post a picture of the car (side shoot.. from the back and front), u gonna need to post the offset of the rims, u gonna need to let folks know if u want springs or coilovers.
You will need a camber kit rear.. if u go too low u will need a frond camber kits as well..
On my car I run 20's, 9.5 front and 11 rear.. I had the rear fenders rolled.. I have dropped an 1.5 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. rubs only on certain angles

it's an 03. on the website I got them from it says "RUFF MODELS HIH OFFSET +35, +45 WITH 5" DEEP LIP" I'm gonna look around a little more in a minute. also, idk if this picture is helpful whatsoever but it's the only one I have without taking a new one (which I can do later)

also I'm not sure if I want to go with coilovers or springs because the car is extensively miled, I'll need struts if I get springs right? What's the least I can spend wtihout destroying the ride of the car?
alll help appreciated guys

Nice coupe, if you lower this G any amount you'll need camber kits front and rear! If she has high mileage and you go with springs you'll also need new shocks so you may as well think about coilovers. Do a lot of research, SPL camber arms are the only ones that will get you back to OE alignment specs. Lowering your coupe plan ahead, get it right the first time....Gary

I don't want the best though. That's why I'm asking you guys, I need to know something that's a happy medium of quality and price. I'm on a mildly low budget, I realize that this isn't something that you can't just go get the cheapest of though. Also I don't know what I'd be looking for, specs and things like that. I don't want to contact a vendor without knowing anything. also, what about used coilovers? or are they likely to be worn out?
looking around online, what do these specs mean exactly? I'm lost
Ride Height Drop (in.) -1.5 -0.9
Min Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) -2.6 -1.2
Max Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) -0.7 0.2
The numbers are for front and rear

how much better are those then the Tein Basics? that's what I was looking at earlier and they're a little cheaper. Also because I'm running 20's... am I gonna need fenders rolled? and i need rear AND FRONT camber kits if I'm lowering?
I would not buy used coilover if u ask me..
If u have a lot of miles on the car.. that means u gonna have to place the shocks anyway.. so replacing those is about 400 to 500 and then springs is about 200.. so for that price u will be better off just buying coilovers.. for about 800 or so..
Look at it this way.. u gonna spend about 1500
just an example
coilovers = 800 +
camber kit front and rear = 600 (catch a sell for both )
{ might be able to get away without front kit if it's not too far out of spec, but u prolly will need it unless u want to keep buying tires}
Install ya coilovers and camber kits = keep money in your pocket
alignment = 200

For everyday driving Tein Basics are decent. They're going to ride relatively smooth and will lower the car a fair amount, but won't go super low. With your wheel specs I don't think you'll have to roll the fenders though.

and what're the cheapest coilovers without sacrificing too much ride?
