Quick q.... compression rod, brakes

Alright so i recently bought an 03 g, it was hit and rebuilt, runs great, but had the bad bushing/compression rod issue on the drivers side.

I ordered the bushing instead of a whole new rod in hopes to get it off, take it to a shop and have them press it in, reinstall and be all set.

Today, while I was replacing the front brake pads and got the rod off, I noticed the bushing i bought didn't seem to be the issue (could be wrong), the other one, the non-replaceable one, was torn and seems to be making all the noise (the side at the wheel). So my only option now is to basically buy a new rod, correct? here's a pic:

Also, while I have you guys, like i said earlier, this is a rebuilt car. Can anyone ID these brakes? the driver side is different from the pass. The pass fit new OEM pads just fine, what was on the driver's side was much larger, and also had two pistons vs the 1 on the pass. pic:

thanks in advance

Sounds like you may have an 05 brake on the driver's side.

If it were me, I'd pick up an o5 brake for the other side too. Doesn't it pull like crazy under braking?

ps yes you're going to need the whole comp rod. I think there have been some people on here to say they've found a replacement ball joint that fits, but I'd just get the whole rod and call it good. the comp rod ball joint is not intended to be user serviceable.

thats what i figured on the comp rod. I'll def end up getting the 05 brake to match on the pass side, might as well..

It doesnt pull while braking, luckily (though I'll pay more attention next time I drive it)
