Lower rear control arm bolt replacement issues - PLEASE HELP
Lower rear control arm bolt replacement issues - PLEASE HELP
Okay so i have a 2003 Nissan Skyline V35 350GT Coupe, as most of you would know it's the equivalent of the G35 Coupe.
I purchased the car a few months ago privately, at the time i was told of the problem but was assured it was a minor issue and i even got a full inspection from a mechanic who confirmed it.
3 Months on and the problem is getting worse. What's happening is when i turn, i hear a creaking noise in the front left suspension (which i have confirmed is the problem as there is a stripped bolt right through the lower rear control arm in the front left suspension) and it's driving me insane. The roads are VERY bad where i live, so this problem is getting worse quick and i need it resolved ASAP.
So now i am going to Nissan first thing Monday to find out the order number for the bolt and do it from home, i just wanted to know if anyone has replaced this bolt before and could help me out.
Thank you!

Super easy. Take off the wheel and remove the lower shock mount bolt in the lca. This will release the load on the lca and now u can remove the bad bolt and replace it. Cut it off with a grinder if u have to. The put it all back together. Shouldnt take more than an hour if u really take your time.
Thanks for the reply man, i'll see how i go at Nissan and do it myself. Good to know it's not going to cost me $100's to get it fixed, just as long as i don't run into any major dramas.
Its not a camber bolt so in reality you can go to any hardware store and replace it with a grade 8 bolt of the same size and length. All it does is hold the lca in place. Its not a specialty bolt.
