Brake pedal pulses, farts, fights back after Wheel bearing install ATTEMPT
I tried to install a front wheel bearing today on my 04 coupe. Got ALL the bolts off fine but the bearing would not budge. I tried to pull it, hammer it, use a chisel, pb blaster, wd 40 everything. Finally got a slide hammer and that didn't work either. Decided to put it all back together and get it to my mechanic.
Once I put everything back and torqued it all on good and drove it a bit, every time I press the brake pedal now it fights back, "farts", and would be a weird noise. Happens when I only hit the break pedal.
I did hit the bearing from the rear to try to push it out and someone told me that this would have messed up the abs receiver or something on the back of the front wheel bearing? Just wanted to get more opinions on why the ABS could be doing this.

You probably damaged the ABS sensor on the back side of the hub or it's mounting bracket. To check the bracket get under your car and compare side to side to make sure they are lined up correctly. The ABS is really touchy and the slightest change can cause issues.
Took it to my mechanic... he put the new bearing in and so far every things good now... ^ your probably right. I messed up something with the alignment. But he just cleaned the sensor up a bit and reused it.
