How important is alignment on 350Z suspension?

I am in the midst of installing nismo 350z suspension (not s tune) on my 03 g sedan.

Is it ok to drive without an alignment? Reason being that I know one of my rear toe bolts is seized so it might not be possible to bring into spec. I am placing an order soon, but dont expect to get it for aroun 6-8 weeks.

What do?

If you don't get it aligned expect accelerated tire wear. I wouldn't go 6-8 weeks on it, you'll destroy your tires.

Definitely need an alignment. Tire wear probably won't be as severe as if you dropped it on coilovers or something like that but definitely would not drive around for two months without an alignment.

I will probably just pick up some OEM toe bolts then. How long should I allow the springs to settle for before getting an alignment?

Do dealers generally charge reasonable rates for alignments or should I look elsewhere?

Honestly I'd schedule an alignment within a week.

As for alignments I'd probably find a dedicated suspension shop that has years of experience with cars. They'll likely be cheaper.

Do you know if I can get a toe bolt loose using a torch? I live in Canada and winter drive so it is pretty seized. Would I risk damaging anything?

I havent been able to find any OEM toe bolt part numbers

As I said, last time I went to get an alignment they told me my toe bolt was seized. Is it likely that they already tried getting it loose with a torch? Dealership did it

Any time you make changes like springs or shocks an alignment isn't an option. After I installed my Tein Z H-Techs I waited less than a week to get my alignment done, new springs need to settle. If you have a bolt seized spray it a couple times a day with WD40 until you can break it loose....Gary

I am doubtful WD40 will work, this car has been through 9 or 10 salty and wet winters.

I will probably leave it in the garage for 2 days and then get an alignment on the 3rd. Will the springs be settled by then?

Or do you have to drive it and make the springs do work to make them settle?

A torch might work, and I doubt a dealer would take a torch to a customer car.

I drove around for 2months dropped 2.5 inches on a 2005 infiniti g35x sedan on bc coils. Then went for an alignment, my toe was pretty much in spec and then they brought it perfectly into spec for me and my camber wasn't that bad. I honestly noticed little to no tire wear in that time driving almost 1000 miles, even had my tire depth checked. Very little change from last time it was checked.

My guess is because I didn't install my spc front and rear camber kit and toe bolt kit untill the day of alignment it wasn't off very much.

Once your car is on the alignment rack an impact gun will remove that bolt. All suspension bolts are -8 bolts so they're strong....WD40 will still help in the process. Your springs will settle much quicker if you'd drive your car rather than letting it sit....Gary
