thoughts after whiteline comp bushing install

Did anyone ever experience some noises during turning under slower speeds after changing out your compression bushings to Whitelines'? Mines been pretty noises especially when I parallel park, not so much during regular driving. Thoughts? any fix to it?

I went back to stock... but to be honest It's not a fair comparison and/or comment as I did not use an OEM part.

I purchased a Carquest aftermarket compression rod and used the whiteline bushing. The Ball joint failed and caused all sorts of noises within 10 minutes after installation/driving.

The bushing was certainly stiffer but I went back to OEM and packed the OEM bushing with 3m Window Weld. It's substantially stiffer now.

the noise you are experiencing is bushing shifting and moving inside it's metal ring around it.

Since it's direct contact between bushing (poly) and metal ring, you get all that noise while it's rubbing.

I went with armstrong bushings, which are similar to whiteline (poly bushings) only they are direct press in into the control arm. Armstrong design prevents vertical movement, but does not eliminate circular. So noise is still present it's just reduced a bit.

I'm just something you have to deal with running this kind of bushings.

They only way I can see to fix it is to attempt to lubricate it

thanks for the tips guys. im pretty sure my mechanic used the lube it came with, would applying something from the outside (while the bushing is on) would benefit from it?

it does not matter if your mechanic used lube or not, all of that lube is squeezed out long time ago.
If you spray some WD 40 or something I think it will help, but not for long.

I rebuilt my wife's Vette front end with polyurethane bushings, in the beginning it wasn't bad but with a little wear and cold weather it would drive a sane person over the edge. Sounds like a thousand mice makin their squeek noises. Next few weeks I'll be going back to OE rubber bushing regardless of the cost. Even my greaseable poly sway bushings on SLICK make noise, whatever the advantages are the noise isn't worth it....Gary

My problem was not the rubber bushings. It was the actual ball joint on the compression rod.

That's a bummer. I wish I did a little more research on this. As I might try to sell my car in the next few months, the noise may depreciate the price, depending who is interested. Or maybe I could just switch back to OEM.

Thanks for everyone's input.
