Car drifts right-Not an alignment issue

I am going to be selling my car in the next few weeks and I wanted to address a few minor issues I have been having with the car. The main problem that bugs me is the fact that the car just wont drive straight. I hit a pretty big pot whole a few months back and that's when the problem started. I have had several alignments over the last couple months at various shops to try and resolve the problem but to no avail.

The best way I can describe the severity of the drift is if I hold the steering wheel at dead center the car moves to the right at a rate of about a foot every 100 feet or so. For everyday driving I actually have to hold the wheel slightly to the left just to keep the car straight. I have been under my car several times and nothing seems to be bent, broken, or loose.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at a loss right now.

Things might be slightly bent and you may not really notice that they're damaged in any way. Have you been taking the car in to suspension shops for the alignment or have you been going to places like Firestone?

There aren't really any good suspension places around me that I know of so ive taken it to Tires Plus and STS. I suppose it's possible something could be bent and yet still pass an alignment. It's just a matter of what.

I did the same thing took it in to get an alignment they stated everything was fine but that was not the case. The car still would pull to the right so I filed a claim with my insurrance and they ended up replacing the upper control arm and something else which fixed the problem.

I have to take my suspension off and put the OEM stuff back on next week. Ill have to take a close look at everything and see if I can find a bent arm or something.

you may want to try and have a tire shop check that your wheels are balanced and that there are no bends in the wheel(s) from hitting the pothole

Wheels and tires are fine. I've had them checked already. I'm thinking it may be the passenger side lower control arm. If I can find one for cheap on the forums I may just buy it and see if that fixes the problem.

Eh, I usually see used ones go for 40-50 bucks here on the forums but I haven't seen any for sale in a while. I did a quick google search and found a company that sells used parts, they had one listed for $56. I have to look around and see what I can find.

Oh haha. Well then your looking at about $200 which is really not practical for me. Im looking for used and cheap. I dont even know if that will fix the problem so Im not looking to spend a ton of money, especially since I am selling the car.

I am going to be putting the OEM suspension back on and swapping out this LCA on Wednesday so hopefully that puts this issue to bed, fingers crossed!

Check the tires man. I had an Acura a few years back that would pull right even after an alignment and the shop that did the alignment switched the tires side to side and it then pulled to the left. The tire pressures were all good and they were all visually in good shape, but one tire was starting to fail internally. They called it a radial pull and the tires shop where I bought the tires (Pirellli's) warranted it and gave me a new tire which fixed the problem.
