in need of new rotors, suggestions please.
My rotors and pads are about gone. Im going to replace both just having a hard time choosing rotors. I was leaning towards stoptech slotted rotors or r1 concepts premium slotted rotors. I dont race or auto x, but i do speed sometimes on the hwy but while on streets i want the ability to be able to stop quick just in case of any sudden stops ahead of me. Thanks in advance
Stoptech slotted rotors are a good direct fitment rotor.
At an even better cost you could go with the centric premiums, they are blank rotors but as you said you're not doing any racing or auto x. The premiums have a e-coating paint on the hats and in the veins to help cut down on rust and keep the rotor looking good. For pads, I would either suggest the Hawk HPS or the stoptech pads.
Stoptech pads will create a little bit fore dust but they do have a better initial bite than the HPS. HPS are less dusty and don't have as good of an initial bite than the stoptechs.

They are all made by the same company.
The powerslot rotors are essentially the same as the premium/high carbon rotors, just have slots.
I believe they are of the same quality, but the main purpose of having the slots is to help add bite/torque, help keep pads clean preventing pad deposits onto the rotors.

So is your question if you need slots/holes or a blank? it depends on what you want out of your brakes. Unless you track your car, a blank rotor with a oem replacement pad is just about good. It will be able to get you to abs braking at day to day use temperatures (ie you will be tire limited in your braking power). Anything over this you are getting for braking feel/looks, or for heat fade issues under tracking conditions.
Slots give you better braking power and less heat build up at the expense of much greater pad wear. Holes are similar but they also make your rotor much weaker and prone to cracking, but look cool. But again, if you can reach abs braking, then improving your braking system won't slow you down any quicker. (improving your tires will).

Errr, not quite understanding your question. They are basically the same company, and get branded depending on what bells and whistles you want. So the blank is branded as centric, then if you want slots or holes it turns into stoptech. I think the stoptech 2 piece though is produced in a different factory.

Better braking power is what I'm looking for. What slotted rotors should i get that you recommend, r1 concept premium slotted or Stoptech slotted, or any others you think might be better?
